Africa Wood Grow is a Dutch-Kenyan joint venture specialized in providing agro-forestry goods and services through environmentally sustainable systems.
Roeland Lelieveld (Dutch) and Daniel Muvali (Kenyan) founded Africa Wood Grow in 2010 after five years of study and research. Started as a forestry project, AWG had the aim to develop economic activities in poor regions in Kenya with depleted soils.
Today, Africa Wood Grow is a remarkable example of local community empowerment through resource management and development programmes. Communities are trained to manage their resources sustainably.
